Hosted by Rod Coneybeare and Charles Winters, the series had
as many adult fans as children because of the excellent shows
which they wrote about exploring the world of science. The two
well-known children's broadcasters, brought together by producer
Dan McCarthy, actually assumed the roles of electrons and other
scientific materials to give impressions of experiments from the
inside out. The announcer was John O'Leary.
Coneybeare, along with Robert Homme, was also on a marvellous program called The Kids' Show which told children's stories. Eventually, Coneybeare and Homme both moved to CBC television's The Friendly Giant.
There are two examples of this program on the Radio Lovers web site, which specializes in selected old-time radio programming, which can be downloaded free of charge. So take a listen and enjoy these two shows.
