Here's a program promo as reprinted in Signing
On by Bill McNeil and Morris Wolfe.
"It's the Johnny Home Show, the comedy story of that lad
from Beaversville, Johnny Home, and his pal Sam Lightfoot, who
have returned from overseas, and are trying to re-establish
themselves in civilian life. Written by Shuster and Wayne, and
produced by J. Frank Willis every Friday night on stations of the
CBC Trans Canada network."
The purpose of the show was to explain rehabilitation credits to
veterans. J. Frank Willis's brother, Austin, played the lead. It
ran for 52 weeks.
