The show, featuring famous Canadian fiddler Don Messer, was aired three nights a week. Vocalists included Charlie Chamberlain, The Singing Lumberjack, and Marg Osborn. The program originated from CBC's studios in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Messer himself, however, was born in Tweedside, New Brunswick.
